Dean is the owner/operator of Haun Taxidermy. He has been in business for over twenty years and has won numerous awards at State, National and World competitions. Some of his awards include first place at the 2005 World competition with a Bison, first place at the 2006 National Competition with a bighorn sheep, and first place at the 2007 State Competition with a bighorn sheep and also took home the Taxidermist Choice Award. He has won Best of Category in life-size mammals with a grizzly bear and a mountain lion. In 2007 he won two second place awards at the World Competition with two bighorn sheep, and in 2008 Dean competed with a giraffe pedestal mount at the State Competition and received a blue ribbon plus Peoples Choice Award and the Collective Artist Award.

Dean’s goal with his taxidermy is to target the sportsman who cares about quality. He tries to educate each client so they know what to look for in their finished mounts. “The closer you look, the better we look.”
